Nishanth Reddy Kavalreddy trained as a computer science engineer and lawyer, studied at Wharton and IIM Bangalore, then returned to his family's farming roots, a tradition dating to 1989, to build one of India's most technologically advanced shrimp farms.
With over 11 years of hands-on farming, he is also known as a public educator, freely sharing aquaculture knowledge with small farmers across India.

A doctor who built one of South India's leading civil services academies, now bringing that institution-building to Seafood Joy.
An MBBS graduate, Dr. Ram Babu co-founded La Excellence IAS Academy in 2009 with Mr. Narendranath (IFS) and Dr. Chandra Shekhar (IRS), and chairs it today. It began in Delhi as Let's Unite for Excellence, a study group in a single room, then moved to Hyderabad, where a two-bedroom apartment served as classroom by day and teachers' quarters by night. The academy now runs from its own 60,000 sq ft campus, with centres in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
For over 15 years he has mentored aspirants in UPSC strategy, essay and answer writing, ethics and the interview, and rankers have credited his interview mentorship for their results. At Seafood Joy he leads strategy and growth, including developing and acquiring new farms to scale the intensive model beyond 1,150 acres.
